Imagination activation
Our carefully created “role-play pods” are designed to replicate a perfectly scaled down village and are filled with props that offer a creative and educational experience for girls up to the age of 7 and boys up to the age of 5.
Little ones can shop at the farmer’s market or meet their friends in the café. Others may choose to become a teacher or police officer for a while. There is always work to be done at the construction site and budding young doctors and vets can play out their roles in the medical centre or veterinary clinic. And so much more!
Unplugged learning
Through role-play, children learn fundamental skills whilst expanding their understanding of themselves and the world they live in. It helps them to develop language skills and discover leadership ability. By encouraging social interaction and problem solving it also enables children to gain confidence. Designed with input from Early Childhood Learning Practitioners, learning opportunities have been seamlessly incorporated throughout the Village, including shapes, colours, numbers, puzzles and language.
At Imagine we believe in the importance of children’s play and allowing their imaginations to be set free. Our play-village is purposefully free of technology and screens so that their focus can be on unleashing the most powerful of computers – their imaginations – all while making memories and having lots of fun!
Baby-friendly
Because we believe that one is never too young to play, Imagine offers a dedicated sensory play pod for babies and toddlers up to 2 years old, providing a safe and secure environment for our youngest visitors to freely explore without the hustle and bustle of the older children.
But we understand that each child develops according to their unique pace. Parents therefore have the option to allow their toddlers, who are younger than 2 years old, to play in the main play-village provided their little one can already walk sturdily.
Coffee Bar
The Imagine coffee bar offers grownups a chance to breathe and enjoy a quiet moment over a hot or cold drink and maybe a yummy treat. Children can also stop by for a snack or light meal. It’s the perfect venue to meet up with friends and enjoy a catch up, whilst children play freely in a safe and engaging environment. It’s also an ideal indoor play option for our rainy Cape Town days.
